What’s on offer for 2025…

We have 5 electronics (software) positions available to join our East Tamaki product design teams starting 20 January 2025, for naturally curious, driven graduates with the initiative and desire to apply learning and skills to the design of luxury premium products.

Our Product Development world is jam-packed with meaningful work designed for a changing world. We have global scale engineering and manufacturing systems that create unique learning opportunities from design concept through to production. Combined with strong leadership, mentoring and diverse hands-on work, you’ll build a strong core skills base for the next steps in your career.

In our Design Centres we offer stimulating work and positive learning environments.  Beyond loving the day-to-day work, grads enjoy our collaborative working style and continuous learning experience.

This is a great industry to learn in. There are heaps of opportunities, and there’s a real openness here to new ways, ideas and options – different perspectives are valued; it’s collaborative and outcome oriented. Everyone works together, and the culture is one of really valuing sustainability – everybody is really passionate and driven to improve.”

In Auckland, our teams are designing the next generation of Laundry and Refrigeration products. You probably already know some of our products – wouldn’t you love to be part of the team enhancing them even more as we continue to work on our goals of sustainability and premium customer experience on the global stage?

Do you meet the brief?

  • Strong communication skills
  • A love for problem solving and getting hands on
  • Curiosity and initiative with a drive to ongoing learning and development
  • Ability to contribute positively and professionally in a team environment, while also being self-driven.

For these specific teams you will need to be on target to complete your studies this year towards an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or Computer Science), and you are excited about ongoing technological innovation and science in laundry and refrigeration technology, systems and structures.

What’s on offer…

Not a lot of companies are truly global – being under the Haier umbrella but headquartered in New Zealand is unique and opens up opportunities not just here but abroad. Ours is a culture where people thrive.

I find it inspiring being a small part of something bigger, and empowering —individual contributions can have an out-sized impact when they have the leverage of the company behind them.
