Our Advisory business is a little different to our core Engineering teams. The work we do shapes strategic policy, helps clients unlock commercial value from their current & prospective investments, and leverages Big Data to run dynamic simulations for maintenance performance, logistics & financial performance, as well as a bespoke team who do something similar for behavioural dynamics & people movement. As an undergraduate in GHD, you will be provided with practical, on the job experience within a technical field aligned to your studies and where possible, to your aspirational career path. You will also have opportunities to build your networks and learn from and work with some of GHD's best and brightest professionals.

Where possible, you'll have the opportunity to connect with our recent graduates and our broader Young Professionals and Women in GHD networks to learn from their experiences to help decide whether GHD is the right place to start your graduate career.

To help facilitate transitions into our Graduate program, our internship experience is designed for students in their penultimate, or second-to-last year of studies, however, is open to students from earlier years as well.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for students who will be continuing their studies next year in a Bachelor or post-graduate qualification. Across Australia, we will have opportunities for students within Advisory across the following business groups. To help understand your interests, our application process will allow you to nominate two areas that you may wish to gain exposure to from the list below:

• Analytics & Strategic Insights – Big Data Consulting, Coding, Digital Analytics
• Movement Strategies – Transport & People Movement modelling & behavioural analytics
• Business Case Development – Social, economic & commercial analytics for large scale project & infrastructure investment strategies
• Logistics & Infrastructure Policy – Operational, commercial and policy assessment of transport systems, investment analytics & staging
• Transaction, Strategy & Commercial – Acquisition & Divestment Infrastructure strategies, Risk analysis impacting asset valuation, Financial due diligence
• Risk Consulting – Hazard & Risk Assessments for Assets & Processes, Commercial Risk Advisory
• Asset Management – Condition monitoring & assessments, whole of life strategies, digital asset management
• Regulation & Assurance – Advisory services to Power & Transport industries on Decarbonisation, Distributed Assets, Emerging generation technology and overall impacts on changing regulation to the Australian network.

All our summer internship position commence in late November / early December (depending on your exam timetable) and will run across the summer break in a full time capacity until late February.
