Our Water Process and Systems team based in Brisbane is looking for a Graduate Engineer that is keen to forge their career in this multidisciplinary and dynamic team.  Alongside our diverse group of 30+ Engineers, Designers and Drafters, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects whilst being connected with a global business with over 10,000 professionals.

Working with a blend of remote and office-based work, you will be based out of our Brisbane office whose office environment includes a strong cohort of graduates and other early career professionals – you’re sure to find your community once you start.     

What will you do in the role?

  • Contributing to concept and detailed designs of water supply and sewerage infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs and treatment plants.
  • Calculating water flows, pressure profiles, pipe size and material selection, confirming pipe structural stability from ground loading, and undertaking pump selections.
  • Using a combination of spreadsheet and modelling programs to achieve and refine designs.
  • Providing design information and review of design drawings.
  • Undertaking site visits to confirm constraints, existing infrastructure and environmental issues to inform pipeline route and infrastructure location selection.
  • Working alongside geotechnical, dams, water resource and environmental engineers to deliver large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Contributing to design documentation such as work specification and safety in design workshops.
  • Calculating infrastructure cost estimates based on concept and preliminary designs to inform business cases.
  • Developing option analyses for preferred option selection using a range of cost and non-cost metrics.
  • Writing reports and specifications on designs.
  • Connecting with a wider team of professionals to share insights, knowledge and improve your overall technical capabilities

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Has recently graduated, or will graduate at the end of the year with a degree in Civil Engineering
  • Is passionate about the consulting industry
  • Strong communication teamwork and communication skills
  • Any prior experience in an engineering environment will be highly regarded.
