Our Building Engineering business group in Wollongong is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects in the region, and be connected with other Australian and international teams who do similar work.

The work includes producing and reviewing designs for concrete, steel and timber structures, building modelling, site inspections, and client interaction. Projects are located both locally and further afield, and some travel may be required. A variety of work will be available, including water treatment plants, ports, local council and transport work. You will have experienced staff to guide and mentor you, as well as access to the Young Professionals network.

We’re looking for someone who:

will graduate by December 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

would like to work in a regional area.

has good verbal and written communication skills.

is an Australian citizen and able to apply for a government security clearance.

Any prior relevant experience will be highly regarded, but we are also willing to train someone who is interested in a long-term Structural Engineering career in a regional area.

This is a role for GHD’s 2023 Graduate Program which starts in February 2023. The two-year Graduate Program provides structured training to develop your corporate skills. It will also link you to a wider graduate cohort located within Australia and internationally. The successful candidate may also have the option to work casually prior to graduating. Upon completion of the Graduate Program, you will have an ongoing role at GHD.
