We had two months of formal training using a range of dummy jobs to build our skills and confidence in preparing jobs. After that we had continuous on the job training getting progressively more complex jobs that pushed our knowledge.

When you start, there is a 1-week induction for grads, first as an entire cohort, and second, within your service line. Implementation of a new L&D platform that is more intuitive and more targeted towards the skills you might need, dependent on your level I picked up a lot of Excel tricks to be more efficient (Pivot tables, Sumif, X-Lookup etc.)

We did practical examples of tax returns which was really useful and helped me to be more confident when I had to do real client work. I have picked up so many useful skills and habits so far To name a few: Communication - with the team and clients Technical accounting skills - how to use Xero applications, excel, word Accounting and tax theory Tax training and other training relevant to the job
