Your opportunity: Real Estate

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for people with a different mindset to join our Real Estate teams for our 2022/2023 vacationer intake. Placements take place over the summer from November 2022 to January 2023. We will be recruiting across the country, so please let us know what state you are interested in.

Our specialist real estate advisory group helps clients to grow, protect and recover value in their real estate portfolios. We advise on, develop and transact real estate – our own, our clients, and in conjunction with joint venture partners. With a unique set of real estate consulting and insolvency capabilities, we have advised upon or transacted over $14 billion in real estate projects.

What you'll be doing

As a vacationer in our real estate group, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of property assets and will learn advanced property fundamentals from a passionate team with backgrounds in property development, valuations, sales and marketing, property law, contract administration, funds management, and investment banking. While no two days will be the same, you can expect to:

• work on a wide range of asset classes
• work alongside our restructuring team, reviewing and assessing properties involved in business turnarounds
• manage distressed property transactions
• assist in new development opportunities the firm is completing
• research real estate investment opportunities on behalf of high net worth clients
• attend meetings with clients and key stakeholders
• participate in business development and marketing activities

But it's not all about work. You'll be given a buddy to help you navigate office life as you settle in. We have regular catch-ups with People and Culture to ensure you are getting the most out of your placement. We host regular events and activities, bringing together our close-knit team in a friendly and relaxed environment so you can get to know the people behind the professionals.

About you

You will be a student in your penultimate year of study and will have:

• a property related degree (completing)
• a real passion for property
• excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills
• an ability to think outside-the-box
• strong interpersonal qualities
• a focus on delivering excellent client service
• strong academic results
• be available to work for 4 or 8 weeks between late November 2022 and late January 2023
• eligibility to live and work in Australia (Australian citizens and permanent residents only)
