Laing O'Rourke equips interns with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for success through their comprehensive 12-week Internship Programme. The program offers interns the chance to work on a real project site during the summer.
About the Environmental Engineering Stream
A sample of the type of tasks you may complete as an Environmental Engineering Engineering Intern include
Attending site meetings
Maintaining strict quality control procedures
Monitoring Key Performance Indicators, data/metrics and work schedules to track and forecast progress in alignment with the overall project program to build
Conducting regular site safety checks and activities, preparing reports and closing out actions raised
Plan and produce work methodologies for the safe delivery of work scope with self-perform and/or sub-contract delivery models
Support the site supervision team for safe and efficient management of site operations
Ensuring the project runs to schedule and to budget, finding solutions to problems that may cause delays (i.e. late arrivals of materials)
Coordinate with key project stakeholders, including design consultants and relevant authorities to ensure compliance

About you
To be eligible for the Internship Program, you must meet the following criteria:
At the time of application, hold Australian/ New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency
Be in your second last year of university studies (penultimate year)
Be studying a relevant degree to the role advertised, Bachelor of Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science or a related degree
