Your role

The Internship is a part-time program designed to assist you in building your career in the Property & Construction Industry during your final year of study. This program allows you to apply your university knowledge to real-world projects and job activities.

Asset Management Internship

As an Asset Management intern, you will work within the Asset Management division across the Office, Industrial, Retail and Living (Built to Rent) sectors.

Over the course of the program you will gain exposure and be able to immerse yourself within:

  • Strategy & Operations & Finance: Work within the governance, compliance and finance teams and support with budgets, forecasts, strategic asset planning and valuations.
  • Marking & Insights: Rotate across the national marketing teams and onsite operational teams and provide key marketing support across all asset classes.
  • Property Management: Supporting the onsite property management teams in the day-to-day operations within their asset. Key responsibilities may include tenant liaison, contractor management, Heath Safety & Environment, ESG, project management and Technical Services.

The Team

The Asset Management division provides quality real estate operations, leasing services, and portfolio management to all assets under management. The teams also support Development with the pre-leasing of new commercial assets and provide operational expertise throughout the asset creation phase.

About you

 Are you eligible for the Internship program?

 If you meet the following criteria, please apply:

  • Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen 
  • Availability to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week 
  • Penultimate year of your Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Property & Real Estate, Property Economics / Commerce / Marketing and due to graduate in 2025 
  • Display an innate curiosity, eagerness to learn, positive can-do attitude  
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment  
  • Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders 
  • Passionate about delivering customer-focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate

Training & development

The internship offers an 11-month paid experience aligned with academic schedules, featuring rotations across job families and asset classes, participation in Hatch Innovation Projects, and asset site tours. You will engage in corporate learning programs, property education modules, and networking opportunities with business teams and the Executive Leadership Team. A support structure is provided, including a Manager, Buddy, and HR Team to ensure you have comprehensive guidance throughout the program.
