Your role

The Internship is a part-time program designed to assist you in building your career in the Property & Construction Industry during your final year of study. This program allows you to apply your university knowledge to real-world projects and job activities.

As a Development Intern, you will gain exposure to the residential business including apartments and masterplanned community projects. The Development Managers will include you in many meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure you get a good overview of a development project. Your time will include both office and site time. In addition, you will work on a small project contributing to the overall project. 

The apartments and masterplanned communities are carefully designed with customers in mind, and they keep sustainability and social connection at the heard of every development.

About you

 Are you eligible for the Internship program?

 If you meet the following criteria, please apply:

  • Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen 
  • Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week 
  • Hold a Driver's Licence and have access to a car 
  • Penultimate year of your Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Property Economics or Valuations, and due to graduate in 2025 
  • Curious, passionate about property and willing to ask all the right questions 
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment  
  • Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders 
  • Passionate about delivering customer-focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate

Training & development

The internship offers an 11-month paid experience tailored to academic schedules, with rotations across job families and asset classes. You will benefit from involvement in Hatch Innovation Projects, asset site tours, corporate learning programs, and property education modules while gaining networking opportunities with business teams and the Executive Leadership Team. Comprehensive support is provided through a dedicated Manager, Buddy, and the Intern Program HR Team.
