Your role

Mirvac Internship is a part-time program designed to assist you in building your career in the Property & Construction Industry during your final year of study. This program allows you to apply your university knowledge to real-world projects and job activities.

As a Research Intern, you will work within the Group Research team, an independent group that provides expertise on economic, capital markets, and property markets to the organization. They operate across various property sectors including Residential (greenfield, mid-rise, high-rise, and Build-to-rent), as well as Office, Industrial, and Retail, communicating research analyses to both internal and external clients. They utilize both open and closed-source datasets to analyze, visualize, and communicate insights.

Your responsibilities will include working with different types of property market data (both spatial and non-spatial) to assist in building spatial visual tools for our business to better know, evaluate and communicate on the urban environment.

About you

You are fit for the role if you meet the following criteria:

  • Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen 
  • Availability to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week 
  • Penultimate year of your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Master of City Planning, City Analytics or similar and due to graduate in 2025 
  • Curiosity, keenness to learn and willingness to bring ideas! 
  • Maturity to learn from others and work in a corporate environment.  
  • Genuine interest in working with non-spatial property market data at times. 
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment  
  • Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders 
  • Passionate about delivering customer-focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate

Training & development

The internship offers an 11-month paid experience designed to fit academic schedules, featuring rotations across various job families and asset classes. During the program, you will engage in Hatch Innovation Projects, participate in asset site tours, attend corporate learning programs, and complete property education modules. You’ll also have the chance to network with business teams and the Executive Leadership Team. Comprehensive support is provided through a dedicated Manager, a Buddy, and the Intern Program HR Team, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching experience.
