Your role

Mirvac Construction’s Cadetship is a part-time program designed to assist you in building your career in the Property & Construction Industry through their Mirvac Construction business. The program allows students from their second year of study until Graduation to apply their university knowledge to various building construction projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use, retail), job activities and real-world scenarios.

This role will see you based on one of Mirvac Construction’s sites, working alongside the project delivery team to successfully build their development(s) safely, on time, on budget, to the required Mirvac quality, and to the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You will gain broad exposure to project management, design and construct systems, and associated disciplines, procedures and controls onsite. This will involve supporting the Project Engineers and Site Managers in coordinating and monitoring site activities and subcontractors and suppliers onsite, developing and maintaining construction programmes and schedules, procurement and cost controls.

About you

 Are you eligible for the Cadetship program?

 If you meet the following criteria, please apply:

  • Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
  • To make the most of your cadetship and obtain maximum exposure to how a construction project is delivered, they require Cadets to commit to working a minimum of 4 days per week and they will provide flexibility around your study requirements aligned to this
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s student - minimum second year - from the following disciplines: Construction Management, Project Management or Engineering (Civil, Structural) or similar
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem-solve
  • Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Passionate about delivering customer-focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which they operate

Training & development

At Mirvac, cadets receive comprehensive support from management, mentors, and a designated 'buddy,' along with networking opportunities with business stakeholders and leaders. The program offers broad exposure to project management, design and construct systems, and related disciplines, procedures, and onsite controls.
