About the AusPac Graduate Program 

We are delighted to invite applications for our 2025 Graduate program commencing February 2025.  

This is a 2-year program consisting of 2 x 12-month rotations through the AusPac business where you will transition into a permanent position at the conclusion of the program. 

As a part of our Graduate program, you will: 

  • Participate in a targeted development pathway, designed to accelerate your on the job learning  
  • Buddy with our talented people that have experienced life at Orica 
  • Be mentored by senior leaders in the business  

About the Engineering Graduate opportunities 

As a Graduate Engineer you will work in a growing Engineering Operations team with the ability to have tangible impact on our day-to-day operations.  

Our Engineering Graduates work across the following streams:

  • Blasting / Technical Services - Civil, Mining and Geotechnical Engineering 
  • Engineering Operations - Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical and Control Systems Engineering 
  • Engineering Innovations - Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering 
  • Digital / Software Engineering - Software Engineering

Study Background 

As an Engineering Graduate you will be studying Mining, Civil, Geotech, Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Electronics, Mechatronics or Software Engineering.

You will have a Bachelor, Post Graduate or Master’s degree in the above disciplines or related fields and have completed your education in 2023 or due to be completed in 2024. 

In addition, you will have full working rights in Australia (with no restrictions) and a current, valid driving licence. 

Locations 

Our 2025 Engineering Graduate opportunities will be based across our Perth, Botany (Sydney), Kooragang Island (Newcastle), Kurri Kurri (Newcastle), Yarwun (Gladstone), Mackay and Snowy Hydo sites. 

For our Snowy Hydo opportunity, the graduate will work on a 2 week on, 2 week off FIFO roster from any of the east coast capital cities or Adelaide. 

Orica offers domestic relocation assistance for those candidates who require relocation to these areas, along with an attractive salary package and benefits.
