What are we looking for?

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:  

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge in software environments such as C, C++, Python,  JAVA, JAVA Script
  • Knowledge in Object Orientated design methodologies 
  • Knowledge in SQL
  • Exposure to developing applications under Linux OS and API's

Desirable:

  • Eligibility and willingness to meet Australian Department of Defence security clearance requirements
  • Applied mathematics
  • Knowledge of IP communication protocols, XML 
  • Source code revision control system knowledge (e.g. GIT)
  • Knowledge of network oriented installation and provisioning software
  • Use of continuous integration tools
  • SAST, DAST, DevSecOps
  • Knowledge in Machine Learning and/or AI
  • Knowledge of Big Data Applications
  • Working within an agile environment (e.g. Atlassian suite)
  • Configuration management and defect tracking tools knowledge
