WTW is seeking a full-time Account Executive to join our growing team within the exciting SME business.

Key to the success of our online SME business will be maintaining and supporting relationships, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, and a service ethic that ensures a quality service is always delivered to our clients. The successful candidate will be an essential part of the broader service proposition that complements the online customer experience. This new role offers an opportunity to grow and develop with the business and provides an opportunity to engage regularly with colleagues worldwide. We are open to varying levels of experience and will consider recent graduates looking to commence their career in the insurance broking space.

The Role

As a member of a high-performing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Reinforcing the online service proposition with a personalised human touch when needed and confidently educating clients on available online insurance solutions
  • Providing broader support to clients who may encounter difficulties navigating an online journey or during challenging circumstances
  • Contributing to the overall achievement of the annual growth target for the SME business
  • Supporting strategic relationships with carriers, including proposition development, carrier integration, and product refresh
  • Promoting the SME brand within the insurance industry both locally and nationally
  • Supporting the end-to-end customer journey, including performing administrative tasks that ensure a seamless and efficient client experience

The Requirements

  • Ideally some experience as an Account Broker or Account Executive within the insurance or insurance broking industry but not essential
  • The ability to understand and meet clients' needs
  • Understanding of how customers interact with online platforms and ability to optimise the digital experience to improve customer satisfaction and conversion rates
  • Ability to work effectively with online insurance distribution platforms and back-end systems, ensuring smooth policy issuance and customer onboarding
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and engagingly, especially in a digital-first interaction environment
  • Ability to guide clients through self-service features, helping them navigate the online platform for policy purchases, renewals, or claims
  • Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualification and demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, whether one-on-one or in a group
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work autonomously with minimal guidance
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment and is always willing to help colleagues

If you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every point above, please still apply. We'd love to see if you could be a great fit.

Pros and cons of working at WTW

Pros

  • Welcoming place to work, and very understanding superiors when it comes to taking a little extra time to learn processes and the work. Legitimate incentives to continue study with pay rises and study leave.

  • Extremely welcoming and friendly people and team culture. Everyone is very approachable, easy to talk to and understanding of each other's circumstances.

  • I believe the best thing about working here is close knit client teams and the inclusivity of these teams.

  • Having an employer who wants to invest in you and help your professional development.

  • Flexibility, hybrid working, company social events - celebrating things like wear it purple day

Cons

    • Nature of the business, but work tends to clump a touch through the year, some months are crazily busy whereas others are quiet.

    • The inconsistent nature of consulting and meeting client deadlines. Can have the occasional lull of work with little to do, and other times have multiple competing jobs requiring many extra hours to complete.

    • I think the worst thing can be the technology at times. IT systems or devices not working.

    • Team with no set office days which mean it's difficult to create connections with co-workers.

    • Environment can be too quiet at times.
